The group photo : women and a man] [An iconographic document

The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)

The collctive photo shows six women at all ages (one of them marked with a cross) and a man dressed in a suit against a background of a wall. There is an inscription on the back of the photo: “The husband’s sister from Halle Germany GDR in 1922 with neighbors (many errors in Polish original )”; 1922, Halle, Germany

Fotografia zbiorowa przedstawia sześć kobiet w różnym wieku (jedna z nich zaznaczona krzyżykiem) oraz mężczyznę w garniturze na tle ściany. Na odwrocie zdjęcia inskrypcja : "Siostra męża z Halle niemcy DDR z Roku 1922 ze sąsiestwem" (zapis oryginalny)

Zdjęcie przesłane na konkurs "Fotografia polskiej wsi" do 1948 roku, organizowany w 1983 r. przez kwartalnik "Fotografia" i tygodnik "Nowa Wieś". Odbitka zdjęcia przechowywana w Instytucie Archeologii i Etnologii PAN (dawniej Instytut Historii Kultury Materialnej)
