The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)

The photo shows a boy in festive school uniform and a big cap. He is holding a decorative package. A large building is visible in the background. There is an inscription on the back of the photo: “The husband’s sister son is going to the first class in Halle Germany, 1934” (some errors in Polish original); 1934, Halle, Germany

Fotografia przedstawia chłopca w odświętnym szkolnym mundurku i dużej czapce. W ręku trzyma ozdobny pakunek. W tle widać duży budynek. Na odwrocie zdjęcia inskrypcja : "Synek siostry męża idący do I klasy w Halle niemcy z roku 1934" (pisownia oryginalna)
