Rite of Vachchada Dada, kachchi rabari (Iconographic document)

Fotografia (skan ze slajdu). Mężczyźni i kobiety ubrani w charakterystyczne stroje pasterzy rabari z grupy kachchi. Strój, kolory i wzory wskazują na przynależność do odpowiedniej podgrupy. Mężczyźni na biało - w spodniach, kaftanie i turbanie, a kobiety na czarno – spódnica, kaftan, długi wełniany szal na głowę z naszytymi wzorów (co określa kobiety z grupy kachchi). Zdjęcie zrobione zostało podczas święta Vachchada Dada. Odbywa się ono w środku dnia, a nie jak inne po zmierzchu. Uczestnicy zbierają się wokół kapliczki leżącej w polu - mężczyźni siedzą na płycie kapliczki, śpiewają i grają, a kobiety siedzą na ziemi. Jest to również okazja do nadania imion dzieciom, które urodziły sie w ciągu roku. Podczas tej ceremonii jeden z pomocników bierze kolejne dziecko na ręce, a bhopa, czyli rodzaj medium w czerwonym turbanie, wpada w trans i nadaje dzieciom imiona
