Według relacji właścicielki zdjęcia w domu jej dziadków stacjonowało wojsko na kwaterze i na zdjęciu widać jej matkę przy studni ze starszą siostrą i żołnierzem na tle domu pradziadków

Fotografia przedstawia dwie bosonogie kobiety przy studni oraz żołnierza w mundurze trzymającego za uzdę osiodłanego konia. Młodsza z kobiet trzyma w jednej ręce wiadro, a w drugiej kubek który podaje żołnierzowi. Druga kobieta trzyma jedną rękę opartą na biodrze, a drugą na korbie studni. Młodsza z kobiet ma odsłonięte włosy, i ubrana jest w kraciastą sukienkę przepasaną jasnym fartuchem. Starsza kobieta ma na głowie jasną chustę, i długi fartuch. W tle widać drewniany budynek z okiennicami, sad, brzozę i inne drzewa oraz okalający je drewniany płot.

According to the account of the owner of a photo a group of Polish Army was stationed at quarters in a house of her grandparents. In the photo you can see her mother at the well with an older sister and a soldier against a background of her grand-grandparents house

The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)

The photograph shows two barefoot woman at a well and a soldier in a uniform holding a bridle of his saddled horse. The younger woman is holding a bucket in one hand and in the other a cup which she gives to the soldier. The second woman is holding one hand on her hip and the other on a handle of the well. The younger woman is dressed in a plaid dress with a bright apron. The elderly woman wears a bright kerchief and a long apron. In the background you can see a wooden building with shutters, an orchard, a birch and other trees and a wooden fence surrounding them.
