Fotografia przedstawia pięciu mężczyzn z których trzech, starszych od pozostałych ubranych jest w ciemne, podobne do siebie kurtki przypominające uniform. Na głowie mają czapki z otokiem i sztywnym daszkiem, wskazujący na służbowy charakter ubrania. Pierwszy po prawej stronie zdjęcia trzyma w ręce kopertę lub kartę papieru. Dwaj pozostali mężczyźni mają na sobie cywilne ubrania i czapki. Drugi od lewej, to ojciec właścicielki zdjęcia. Mężczyźni pozują na tle drewnianej ściany

According to the account of the owner of a photo it presents her father with colleagues

The photograph shows five men posing against the background of a wooden wall. Three of them, older than the others are dressed in dark, similar to each other jackets, resembling a uniform. They are wearing caps with a rim and a stiff peaks, indicating a service nature of their clothing. The first man on the right side of the photo holds an envelope or a sheet of paper in his hand. The other two men are wearing civilian clothes and caps. Second from the left there is a father of the owner of the image

The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
