The photo depicts people gathered on the occasion of the harvest festival. In the foreground there are young smiling girls in folk costumes and a man – also in a folk costume – holding a large harvest festival wreath. The girls are holding sickles in their hands. According to its owner, the photo depicts a voivodeship harvest festival in Kielce

The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Fotografia przedstawia ludzi zebranych z okazji dożynek. Na pierwszym planie młode, uśmiechnięte dziewczęta w strojach ludowych oraz mężczyzna – też w stroju ludowym, trzymający duży wieniec dożynkowy. Dziewczęta trzymają w dłoniach sierpy.
