The text is devoted to analysis of use of the communication patterns in reaction to the news about death of John Paul II, the same which he was using himself in his evangelization activity. Undertakings based on combination of three elements are discussed in particular: personal, individual experience of contact with another man, public event with mass audience and medial broadcast. Such complex undertakings were of crucial meaning to the practice of contacts of John Paul II with faithful, so the question was posed: how much of this practice has left the trace amid its recipients. Concretely the trace which could be found in the way of reacting to passing John Paul II. As an answer it was indicated that use of this pattern requires invention - especially searching for ways of engaging mass recipients and symbolic elements which contact media attention.
