Research perspectives for verbal childlore of Cracow subdialects

The study is to defi e perspectives for research of verbal childlore, aiming to establish the dominants of content and composition of texts. Social changes make it increasingly hard to gather examples of verbal tradition and folklore. This can be observed particularly in urban agglomerations and their precincts, such as the Cracow region. A lack of identification with local communities, weakening of family bonds and decline of extended families also have great impact on the quality of research. There is a great need for new attitude and up-to-date methodology of gathering and reconstructing old texts.
