Charakterystyka wolontariusza hospicyjnego z perspektywy pielęgniarki

Obecnie coraz częściej w skład zespołu terapeutycznego sprawującego bezpośrednią opiekę nad chorym wchodzą również wolontariusze. Placówkami medycznymi, które najdłużej i najliczniej z nimi współpracują są hospicja. Celem pracy było opracowanie profilu wolontariusza hospicyjnego. Badaniami objęto 154 uczestników czterech kolejnych (lata: 2009-2012) edycji kursu organizowanego przez TPCH "Hospicjum im. św. Łazarza" w Krakowie dla osób pragnących dołączyć do grona wolontariuszy hospicyjnych. Zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego, narzędziem badawczym był autorski kwestionariusz ankiety. Wyniki opracowano przy użyciu programu SPSS 14 PL. Profil kandydata na wolontariusza w hospicjum odbiega od ogólnego profilu wolontariusza, zwłaszcza pod względem wiekowym. Do wolontariatu hospicyjnego częściej zgłaszają się kobiety, zazwyczaj są one stanu wolnego, posiadają średnie lub wyższe wykształcenie, są czynne zawodowo.

The study included 154 adult candidates participating in four consecutive editions of "A course for volunteers - a guardian of the sick" organized by the St. Lazarus Hospice in Krakow in the years 2009-2012, Poland. The study was conducted by the method of a diagnostic survey. Research tool was the author’s self-developed questionnaire. Results were developed using software SPSS 14 PL. The hospice volunteer profile differ from the overall profile of the volunteer, especially in terms of age. To the hospice volunteer report more often women, usually they are: unmarried, have secondary or higher education, are economically active.
