Wpływ współzależności na konfliktowość stosunków międzynarodowych

Over the past few decades, there has been a surge of interest in the concept of interdependence, but it still requires further research because of the complexity of this phenomenon. It is known that interdependence affects world politics and the behaviour of states, but the nature and strength of the links between interdependence and conflict have always been the subject of disagreement. The hypothesis that interdependence reduces conflict among cooperating countries is shared by liberal scientists. On the other hand many researches argue that interdependence not only results in a decrease in conflict, but it often also leads to their escalation as well. The main source of this ambiguous position is antagonism between need for economic cooperation and the egoism of political goals.
