Management of Organizational Culture Elements in Public Institutions of Malopolska Province

Instytucje publiczne dysponują unikatową kulturą organizacyjną. Każda z nich posiada inną strategię, strukturę, procedury, pracowników, style zarządzania, normy zachowań i wartości. Wpływa na to historia każdej instytucji oraz element zarządczy jakim są przede wszystkim pracownicy instytucji. Celem mojej pracy jest przedstawienie różnych rodzajów elementów kultury organizacyjnej panującej w urzędach na terenie województwa małopolskiego. Praca składa się z 3 zasadniczych rozdziałów, wstępu, podsumowania, wykorzystanych źródeł i spisu ilustracji. W rozdziale 2 przedstawione zostanie znaczenie i rola kultury organizacyjnej oraz instytucji publicznych. Dla lepszego zrozumienia tematu zostaną wytłumaczone wszystkie terminy zawarte w tytule, czyli pojęcia kultury, organizacji, zarządzania oraz instytucji publicznych. Rozdział 3 opisuje elementy kultury organizacyjnej jakie będą badane przeze mnie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem: wyglądu budynków i otoczenia zewnętrznego, wizerunku wewnętrznego, zachowania pracowników i klientów instytucji. W rozdziale 4 zostaną omówione wyniki badań dotyczące wybranych przeze mnie instytucji publicznych. Praca kończy się podsumowaniem oraz wnioskami.

Public institutions have unique organizational culture. Each has a different strategy, structure, procedures, employees, management styles, rules of behaviour and values. History of each institution and its managing element which are mainly constituted of public institutions employees, influences organizational culture. The purpose of my bachelor’s dissertation is to present different types of organizational culture elements dominating in government offices in malopolska province. The bachelor’s dissertation consist of three main chapters, the introduction, summary, bibliography and illustrations. The second chapter will present the role and meaning of organizational culture and public institutions. For a better understanding of the topic, all the terms included in the subject of the dissertation, that is culture, organization, management and public institutions, will be explained. Chapter three describes organizational culture elements which will be examined by me, with particular attention devoted to: buildings appearance and surroundings, internal image, as well as employees and customers behaviour. Results of the study concerning the selected public institutions will be discussed in chapter four. The bachelor’s dissertation ends with summary and conclusions.
