The Singular Spectrum of a one - Dimensional Perturbation of a Multiplication Operator

The main subject discussed in the thesis is the spectral analysis of rank-one perturbation of the multiplication operator. The structure of the singular continuous and discrete spectrum is characterized with the use of the theory of Nevanlinna functions. Sokhotsky's formula for the boundary values of the Cauchy type integral is one of the main elements of the method. Further, an example of a perturbation whose singular spectrum arises on the arbitrary set of measure zero is constructed. The preliminary analysis of the perturbation problem for the model operator in a Pontryagin space with one negative square is conducted.

Głównym zagadnieniem omawianym w niniejszej pracy jest analiza spektralna jednowymiarowej perturbacji operatora mnożenia. Podany jest opis struktury spektrum singularnego tego operatora przy użyciu teorii funkcji Nevanlinny, m.in. korzystając z formuły Sokhotsky'ego dla brzegowych wartości całki typu Cauchy'ego. Pokazane jest również, jak dla dowolnego zbioru miary zero skonstruować perturbację, której spektrum singularne jest równe temu zbiorowi. Przeprowadzona jest także wstępna analiza analogicznego problemu dla perturbacji modelowego operatora w przestrzeni Pontryagina.
