Praca dotyczy twórczości Andrzeja Stasiuka. Na podstawie wybranych utworów omówiony został sposób posługiwania się przez autora stereotypem, ironią i prowokacją. Wychodząc od analizy pojęć, poprzez analizę i interpretację fragmentów tekstów Stasiuka i literatury przedmiotowej, wykazano ścisłe powiązania pomiędzy tymi kategoriami i cele, dla których pisarz wykorzystał właśnie takie środki. Literaturę skonfrontowano ponadto z biografią autora, a także z obserwowanymi zjawiskami społecznymi. Wykazano też związek dzieł Andrzeja Stasiuka z teorią wielokulturowości, omawiając dodatkowo stosunek pisarza do kontaktów z Innym oraz określając sposób postrzegania i opisu świata przez autora.

The thesis refers to Andrzej Stasiuk’s works. It disscuses how Stasiuk uses stereotype, irony and provocation to describe the world. Starting from the analysis of these terms, then analysis and interpretation of Stasiuk’s works as well as literature connected with the topic, the thesis exposes strong connections between those categories and shows what aims the writer wanted to achieve by using them. Moreover, Andrzej Stasiuk's works are confronted with the author’s biography and social phenomena that are observed. The thesis emphasizes also connections with multiculturalism and portrays Stasiuk's attitude towards The Other. Additionally, it describes how the author perceives and depicts the world.
