La dynamique linguistique de la violence verbale en Corse - ses sources, ses manifestations et ses consequences.

Corsica constitutes a specific area of linguistic study due to conflicts of both ideology and identity and social tensions. Political and economical changes occurring over a span of centuries, in particular, the incorporation of Corsica into France on 30 November, 1789, had a significant impact on the development of Corsican national identity and on the language of the island’s inhabitants.The topic of this paper covers linguistic violence and will be analyzed in both political-economic and social-cultural contexts. The forms, types and manifestations of aggressive behavior will be analyzed in regards to two fields of study : social linguistics and social psychology. Afterwards, linguistic aggression will be analyzed on the basis of specific cases authored by and targeted towards the inhabitants of Corsica.These analyses will allow for the formulation of conclusions on the influence of external factors on linguistic violence and its relationship with the role and place of the Corsican language in island society. Aggressive verbal behavior is a manifestation of disturbances in the cultural and national identity on the island of Corsica, whose inhabitants may be witness to the death of their own language.

Korsyka stanowi bardzo szczególny obszar badań językoznawczych, ze względu na istniejące na jej terytorium konflikty ideologiczne, tożsamościowe i społeczne. Zmiany polityczne i ekonomiczne zachodzące na przestrzeni wieków, w szczególności przyłączenie wyspy do Francji 30 listopada 1789, miały duże znaczenie w procesie kształtowania się tożsamości narodowej na Korsyce i w znacznym stopniu wpłynęły na zachowania językowe jej mieszkańców. Tematykę pracy stanowi przemoc językowa na Korsyce, której przyczyny będziemy rozpatrywać zarówno w kontekście polityczno-ekonomicznym, jak i społeczno-kulturowym. Przeprowadzimy badanie istoty, rodzajów i przejawów zachowań agresywnych z punktu widzenia dwóch dyscyplin naukowych : socjolingwistyki i psychologii społecznej. Następnie dokonamy analizy agresji językowej, której odbiorcami i autorami są mieszkańcy Korsyki, opierając się na konkretnych przykładach. Przeprowadzone badania pozwolą nam na sformułowanie wniosków na temat wpływu czynników zewnętrznych na przemoc językową i jej związku z miejscem i rolą języka korsykańskiego w społeczności wyspiarskiej. Agresywne akty werbalne są przejawem zaburzeń tożsamości narodowej i kulturowej na Korsyce, której mieszkańcy byc może będą świadkami śmierci własnego języka.

La Corse est un observatoire très particulier pour les sciences du langage en raison de tout conflit idéologique, identitaire et social dont elle est la scène. Les changements politiques et économiques survenus au cours des siècles, notamment l’adhésion de l'île à la France le 30 novembre 1789, ont joué un rôle important dans le processus de construction de l’identité nationale en Corse et ils ont influencé les comportements langagiers de ses habitants. Ce mémoire propose d’étudier le phénomène de la violence, dont nous analyseront les sources dans le contexte politique, économique, social et culturel. Nous nous attacherons à la définition des actes de violence et à leur spécificité et typologie du point de vue de la sociolinguistique et de la psychologie sociale. Ensuite, à partir d'exemples concrets, nous proposerons une analyse de l'agression linguistique exercée contre les Corses et par les Corses.La présente étude tente d'apporter de nouvelles indications quant à l'influence de facteurs extérieurs sur l'agression linguistique et quant au lien entre cette dernière et la place et le rôle de la langue corse dans la société insulaire. Les actes d'agression verbale révèlent les troubles profonds de l’identité nationale et culturelle en Corse, dont les habitants seront peut-être témoins de la mort de leur propre langue.
