Galatea calling. "Pygmalion" from myth to drama and musical

Work is divided into a section that tells the history of the ancient myth of Pygmalion and Galatea, described by Ovid in "Metamorphoses," and a section about Pygmalion research, and a part which is an attempt to analyze the development of perception of the myth over the centuries. This reconnaissance of work related to the history of the sculptor and his animated statue, leads to the conclusion that the art has become extremely fertile ground for discussion and questions about problems of modern society. Verry important in this case is the work of George Bernard Shaw and "Pygmalion. It tells also about the importance and perception of musical "My Fair Lady" and its screening.
