Dance in the contemporary press photography contest on the example of World Press Photo

Taniec jest nieodłącznym elementem w życiu człowieka. Jest procesem komunikacyjnym, dzięki któremu ludzie przekazują sobie emocje i opowiadają historie. Jest elementem sztuki i rozrywki podziwianym przez człowieka. W swojej pracy staram się przedstawić obraz tańca jako sztuka i proces komunikacji między ludźmi we współczesnej fotografii prasowej na przykładzie konkursu World Press Photo. Moim celem jest pokazanie jego istoty i roli w życiu człowieka, a także postrzeganie ruchu. Do analizy wybrałam zdjęcia z konkursu World Press Photo, ze względu na jego prestiż, różnorodność i wielokulturowość. Wyznacza standardy w światowej fotografii prasowej, gdzie nagradzane są najlepsze zdjęcia najlepszych fotografów z całego świata.

Dance is an integral part in human life. Communication is the process by which people communicate your emotions and tell stories. It is an element of art and entertainment admired by man. In my studies I try to present a picture of dance as an art and process of communication between people in contemporary photojournalism on the example of World Press Photo contest. My main objective is to show the nature and role in human life, and the perception of motion. I chose to analyze images from World Press Photo contest, because of its prestige, diversity and multiculturalism. Setting standards in the world press photo, where awards are the best pictures of best photographers from around the world.
