Obraz staroobrzędowców w XIX- wiecznej literaturze rosyjskiej. Na przykładzie twórczości Mikołaja Leskowa i Pawła Mielnikowa-Pieczerskiego

Przedmiotem pracy są badania nad sposobem pisania o starym obrzędzie u XIX-wiecznych pisarzy rosyjskich, Pawła Mielnikowa-Pieczerskiego i Mikołaja Leskowa. Wybór pisarzy motywowany jest tym, iż byli oni najlepszymi znawcami omawianego zjawiska, pozostając jednocześnie wyznawcami oficjalnej prawosławnej Cerkwi. Autorka, uwzględniając rosyjski kontekst historyczny i polityczny, stara się przedstawić sytuację kulturową raskolników. W celu dokładnego przebadania dorobku literackiego i poglądów omawianych pisarzy, do pracy zostają wprowadzone ich biografie, analizowane pod kontem kontaktów ze starym obrzędem i oceny omawianego zjawiska. W trakcie badań przeprowadzono szczegółową interpretację dwóch dzieł, powieści Pawła Mielnikowa-Pieczerskiego W lasach oraz Zapieczętowany anioł Mikołaja Leskowa. Na podstawie analizy tych powieści udało się wykazać pewne tendencje w pisaniu o starym obrzędzie u pisarzy nie należących do omawianej społeczności. Wyraźnie rysuje się krytyka obyczajowości i obrzędowości, a także sposobu kształcenia u staroobrzędowców. Podstawowym zarzutem autorów, jest powierzchowne traktowanie wiary prawosławnej. Jednakże z drugiej strony obydwaj pisarze podkreślają szczególną rolę staroobrzędowców w pielęgnowaniu staroruskiej kultury, a przede wszystkim w obrzędzie pisania ikon.

The theme of the thesis is the analysis of the forms of the Old Rite representation in the nineteenth-century works by Paul Melnikov-Petchersky and Nikolai Leskov. The selection of writers is justified by the fact that they were knowledgeable about the phenomenon of Old Believers, although they still remained the official Orthodox Church adherents. The author is attempting to describe cultural heritage and status of Raskolniki taking into consideration the historical and political contex of Russia. In order to ensure the author's interpretation of Melnikov-Petschersky and Leskov accomplishmentsas well as to obtain better insight into the writers’ views, the biographies of the writers are enclosed and analyzed in terms of their possible relationship to the Old Rite. Two novels, Paul Melnikov-Pechersky's 'In the Woods' and Leskov's 'The Sealed Angel', were thoroughly analyzed by the author. The author could, on the basis of interpretation and analysis of Leskov's and Melnikov-Pechersky's novels observe and identify certain tendencies and trends in the writing of these specific writers, ones who did not belong to the issued community. Critique of customs and rituals is noticeable in their works. The educational development of the Old Believers has been criticized too. The main objection raised by authors is the superficial treatment of the Orthodox Church. On the other hand, both artists emphasize and stress on the exceptional role of the Old Believers in the nurturing of the Old Russian culture, especially in the field of the ritual of writing icons.
