Penitentiary system in the Russian Federation after 1997

This thesis is demonstrating the legal framework of the penitentiary system in the Russian Federation. In the thesis are demonstrated: a history of imprisonment, provisions of law which regulated: bodies responsible in penitetntiary system, reformatory institutions, process of rehabilitation. Problems of the Russian penitentiary system are outlined: violating laws of convicteds, illness (HIV virus and tuberculosis), overflowing prisons.

Opracowanie to pokazuje prawne ramy działania systemu penitencjarnego w Federacji Rosyjskiej. Omówione są w nim przepisy regulujące całość instytucji systemu penitencjarnego: organy odpowiedzialne za wykonywanie kary pozbawienia wolności, instytucje poprawcze, środki oddziaływania penitencjarnego. Zarysowane zostały problemy rosyjskiego systemu penitencjarnego: naruszenia praw skazanych, choroby (wirus HIV i gruźlica), przepełnienie więzień.
