Wydawnicze dzieje cyklu "Ani z Zielonego Wzgórza" Lucy Maud Montgomery na ziemiach polskich

For over than a hundred years Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables and the next books of the series have constantly attracted a big group of readers.This thesis presents the history of publishing series about Anne Shirley on the Polish Lands from 1911 to 2010. It describes the publishing houses which have published books of this series. Using bibliographic method the study examines how the individual volumes have been issued over the years. The work shows how the frequency of publishing of this books is related to the history of Poland. It also compares the differences between various editions.A biography of Lucy Maud Montgomery is presented, and how writing of the Anne of Green Gables influenced her life. The thesis also shows how the 100th anniversary of the first edition of the novel was celebrated in Poland and talk about television adaptations of series. At the end author try shows how modern technologies can influence on books’ reading.

Od ponad stu lat Ania z Zielonego Wzgórza Lucy Maud Montgomery oraz dalsze książki cyklu cieszą się niesłabnącą popularnością wśród czytelników. Praca prezentuje historię wydawania przygód Ani Shirley na Ziemiach Polskich od 1911 do 2010 roku. Opisano polskie wydawnictwa, które na przestrzeni lat publikowały książki z cyklu. Przy użyciu metody bibliograficznej zbadano, jak poszczególne tomy były wydawane na przestrzeni lat. Porównano różnice pomiędzy kolejnymi wydaniami. Przedstawiono, jak historia Polski wpłynęła na częstotliwość z jaką wydawano książki. Ponadto zaprezentowana została biografia Lucy Maud Montgomery i to jak na jej życie wpłynęło napisanie Ani z Zielonego Wzgórza. Pokazano, jak w Polsce obchodzone było stulecie pierwszego wydania powieści oraz podano przykładowe adaptacje telewizyjne książek. Dodatkowo przedstawione zostało, jak współczesne technologie mogą wpłynąć na odbiór powieści.
