The Anglican-Orthodox relations since the early nineteenth century until 1938 in view of the validity of ordination.

W pracy omówiono relacje anglikańsko - prawosławne w przekroju ponad stuletnim, kładąc główny akcent na kwestię ważności święceń anglikańskich. Do tej pory w polskiej literaturze naukowej można było spotkać prace analizujące to zagadnienie od strony Kościoła katolickiego lub w mniejszym zakresie anglikańskiego. Celem tej pracy było poszerzenie perspektywy badawczej poprzez przybliżenie czytelnikowi stanowiska Kościoła prawosławnego. Po przeanalizowaniu wielu materiałów źródłowych wykazano, że duży wpływ na dialog anglikańsko – prawosławny i jego wyniki miała skomplikowana sytuacja polityczna oraz rodząca się idea ekumenizmu. Jednocześnie dowiedziono złożoności problemu, przez co praca powinna być traktowana przede wszystkim jako baza do dalszych badań w tej materii.

The paper discusses the relationship between the Anglican - Orthodox Churches over a century, placing the emphasis on the question of the validity of Anglican orders, insofar as Polish scientific literature could be found examining this issue through the work of the Catholic Church or to a lesser extent Church of England. The aim of this study was to broaden the perspective of research by bringing the reader to the position of the Orthodox Church. After analyzing a number of source materials, it has been demonstrated that a large impact on the Anglican - Orthodox dialogue and its results had complicated the political situation and the nascent idea of ecumenism. At the same time, it demonstrated the complexity of the problem, so the work should be treated primarily as a basis for further research in this area.
