INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AS A SOURCE OF COMPETITIVENESS FOR ENTERPRISES

Considerations included in this thesis relate to intellectual property. It was presented as one of the most important factor in the development of enterprises as well as the entire modern economy.It was presented a direct relationship between the level of intellectual resources and competitiveness of enterprises. What is more, intellectual property rights protection, associated costs and economic benefits were described. In addition to that, an attempt was made to find the most effective and most reliable method of measuring the value of intangible assets in enterprises, including intellectual property.

Rozważania zawarte w niniejszej pracy dotyczą własności intelektualnej. Przedstawiona ona została jako jeden z najważniejszych czynników warunkujących rozwój przedsiębiorstw a zarazem całej współczesnej gospodarki. Wykazana została bezpośrednia zależność pomiędzy poziomem zasobów intelektualnych a poziomem konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstw. Ponadto dokonano charakterystyki ochrony praw własności intelektualnej i związanych z tym kosztów i korzyści ekonomicznych. Podjęto próbę odnalezienia najskuteczniejszej oraz najbardziej wiarygodnej metody pomiaru wartości aktywów niematerialnych przedsiębiorstw, w tym własności intelektualnej.
