Literary epitaphs written at the turn of 18th and 19th centuries in Poland

Niniejsza praca przedstawia funkcję oraz znaczenie literackich nagrobków pisanych w Polsce na przełomie XVIII i XIX wieku. Literackich nagrobków, które obrazują ówczesne wydarzenia historyczne i stanowią jaskrawy komentarz kondycji Polskiej i europejskiej. Pisane jawnie i anonimowo wyrażają sympatię oraz krytykę ówczesnych obserwatorów życia publicznego wobec zmieniającej się polityki, kultury społecznej i literackiej.

The presented work concentrates on function and meaning of the literary gravestones epitaphs written in Poland at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries; literary gravestones epitaphs which depict the historical events and present exaggerated commentary on Polish and European society shape. Written openly and anonimously they show fondness and criticism by the observers of the public life on changing politics, as well as social and literary culture.
