La tesina trata el tema de los cambios en la percepción de la masculinidad que se pueden notar a través de la literatura latinoamericana contemporáneaLa primera parte muestra la evolución del termino de la masculinidad, que era el objeto de una grande discusión después del movimiento de feminismo y la creación de los estudios sobre las masculinidades. También, la autora observa los cambios en la metodología de las investigaciones literarias, así como las tendencias más actuales que dirigen la atención en el problema de la discriminación y la alienación.La segunda parte está dedicada a una interpretación y análisis de los protagonistas de novelas contemporáneas latinoamericanas, cuyos autores intentan demostrar las consecuencias negativas de la existencia de la idea de macho en sus sociedades y dan ejemplos de otras maneras de expresar la identidad masculina.

The thesis concerns the changes in the vision of masculinity which give us the modern literature from Latin America. The first part shows the evolution of what means the term masculinity, which was widely discussed after the feminism movement and the creation of Men’s studies. Also, the author observe the changes which took place in the camp of the methodology of investigation of literature, as well as the newest trends that pay attention to the questions of discrimination and alienation.In the second part is situated an interpretation of the main characters of the contemporary books from the Latin America, which authors try to demonstrate the negative consequences of the existence of the idea of macho in their societies and give examples of other way to express masculinity.

Praca magisterska dotyczy zmian w percepcji męskości, która przejawia się we współczesnej literaturze latynoamerykańskiej.Pierwsza cześć pokazuje ewolucje terminu męskość, szeroko dyskutowanego po rewolucji kulturowej dokonanej przez feminizm i po narodzinach studiów nad męskością.Autorka również obserwuje zmiany w metodologii badan literackich, najnowsze tendencja, które zwracają uwagę na problem inności i alienacji. W drugiej części znajduje się interpretacja wybranych bohaterów współczesnych powieści latynoamerykańskich, których autorzy starają się ukazać negatywne konsekwencje płynące z istnienia w społeczeństwie idei machismo i wymieniają przykłady innych sposobów wyrażania męskiej tożsamości.
