Attitudes toward death in the poetry of Aleksander Wat, Halina Poświatowska and Kazimierz Ratoń

Tematem pracy jest przyglądanie się postawom trójki poetów (Aleksandra Wata, Haliny Poświatowskiej i Kazimierza Ratonia), wobec świadomości własnej śmierci. Są to postawy różne, począwszy od afirmacji życia, prób unieśmiertelniania się w miłości, pracy twórczej, kończąc na zupełnym poddaniu się wyrokowi śmierci poprzez skazanie się na wegetację, życie w warunkach niegodnych człowieka. Poeci ci w swoich lirykach wypowiadają się także na temat śmierci w świecie, kulturze, przyrodzie.Ważnym elementem pracy są wypowiedzi z najbliższego otoczenia, rodziny, przyjaciół tychże twórców na temat ich zmagań z chorobą. Część główną pracy poprzedza rozdział teoretyczny mówiący o fenomenie śmierci w ujęciu filozoficznym, religijnym, antropologicznym.

The theme of the work is looking at the attitudes of three poets (Aleksander Wat, Halina Poświatowska and Kazimierz Raton), to awareness of his own death. There are different attitudes, from the affirmation of life, attempts immortalize in love, creative work, ending with the complete surrender of a death sentence by the sentencing on the vegetation, living in conditions unworthy of man. Poets in their lyrics of you also speak about death in the world, culture, nature.An important element of work are statements of immediate surroundings, family and friends of those artists about their struggles with the disease. The major part of work is preceded by a theoretical chapter talking about the phenomenon of death in terms of philosophical, religious and anthropological.
