WPŁYW ŚWIATOWEGO KRYZYSU FINANSOWEGO NA GLOBALNĄ GOSPODARKĘ I PRZYSZŁOŚĆ STREFY EURO

The purpose of this dissertation was to examine the influence of the economic crisis triggered by the American subprime mortgage crisis on global economy. It focused in particular on the euro area. Moreover the future of the crisis and the possible scenarios of its evolution have been considered. This dissertation presents systematic, structural and derivative reasons of the economic breakdown and the results it has had on global economy. These include the Lehman Brothers crash, banking system crisis, financial markets interventions, financial difficulties of some of the euro area economies and the possible global currency war. It describes some of the attempts at crisis management and their possible outcomes. Finally it discusses the hypothetical next wave of crisis related to the unavoidable crash of the American commercial estate market and the potential insolvency of several of the European economies. It also attempts at forecasting the nearest future of dollar, euro and RMB.

Przedmiotem pracy było zbadanie wpływu światowego kryzysu zapoczątkowanego krachem na rynku kredytów subprime w USA na globalną gospodarkę ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem strefy euro a także, co najważniejsze dalszego trwania kryzysu i oceny możliwych scenariuszy jego rozwoju. W pracy przedstawiono systemowe, strukturalne i pochodne przyczyny załamania gospodarczego oraz skutki jakie do tej pory spowodowało ono w światowej gospodarce, począwszy od bankructwa banku inwestycyjnego Lehman Brothers Inc., po załamanie systemu bankowego, interwencje na rynkach finansowych, problemy finansów publicznych niektórych gospodarek strefy euro oraz coraz bardziej możliwą światową wojnę walutową. W pracy opisano próby zwalczania postępującego kryzysu i możliwe scenariusze ich powodzenia. Praca w końcu stawia hipotezę co do kolejnej fali kryzysu związanego z nieuniknionym krachem na amerykańskim rynku nieruchomości komercyjnych, potencjalną upadłością kilku europejskich gospodarek oraz stara się przewidzieć najbliższą przyszłość dolara, euro i RMB.
