Akademia Praktyk Teatralnych to dydaktyczny projekt Ośrodka Praktyk Teatralnych „Gardzienice”, zainicjowany w 1997 roku. Warsztaty proponowane studentom poszerzają ich świadomość teatralną i animacyjną oraz pomagają w rozwinięciu warsztatu aktorskiego. Oryginalne praktyki teatralne, wypracowane przez zespół „Gardzienice”, stały się metodą nauczania studentów. Trening gardzienicki obejmuje pracę nad słowem, muzyką, ruchem i nad przestrzenią teatralną. Studenci angażowani są w wiele kulturalnych projektów, których realizacja pozwala im nabyć kompetencji animatorskich. Na sesje robocze zapraszani są wybitni teoretycy i praktycy teatru oraz reprezentanci kultur tradycyjnych. Nauka w Akademii trwa rok. Po ukończeniu właściwego kursu studenci otrzymują certyfikaty, sygnowane przez wykładowców. Zdolniejszym proponuje się kolejny rok warsztatów, w trakcie którego przygotowują finalny spektakl.

Theatre Practices Academy is the teaching project of the “Gardzienice” Theatre Practices Centre, launched in 1997. Workshops offered for students broaden their theatrical and animation awareness, and help develop the acting workshop. Original theatrical practices, developed by the “Gardzienice” team, became the method of teaching students. Gardzienicki training includes work on the word, music, movement, and the theater space. Students are involved in many cultural projects that allow them to acquire animator's competencies. At the working sessions are invited prominent theater theorists and practitioners, and representatives of traditional cultures. Learning in the Academy lasts for one year. After completing the appropriate course, students receive certificates, signed by the faculty. For talented students it is proposed additional year of workshops, during which they prepare the final show.
