State of research on the origins and early period of evolution of Wielbark Culture

The aim of this work is an attempt to present the general characteristics of the state of research on the origins and early period of the Wielbark Culture.The object of attention is in this case the state of various types of monuments used by the population of Wielbark culture, as well as other archaeological sources, like cemeteries and settlements.Another issue in the problem of Wielbark culture and its place in the taxonomic structure of the European Barbaricum ethnicity is the issue of its creators.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest próba przedstawienia ogólnej charakterystyki stanu badań nad genezą i wczesnym okresem funkcjonowania kultury wielbarskiej.Przedmiotem uwagi jest w tym przypadku zarówno omówienie stanu opracowań poszczególnych typów zabytków używanych przez ludność kultury wielbarskiej, jak też innego rodzaju źródeł archeologicznych tzn. cmentarzysk i osad.Osobnym zagadnieniem wiążącym się z problemem kultury wielbarskiej i jej miejscem w taksonomii struktury europejskiego Barbaricum jest kwestia przynależności etnicznej jej twórców.
