Venture Capital funds divestments with capital market

The study discusses the main principles of the functioning and development of Venture Capital investment funds. The emphasis was mainly concentrated on the analysis of the divestments carried out by those funds, with particular attention on the specific conditions of the Polish capital market. The aim of this study was to demonstrate that the public offering of the shares is the most effective way for the Venture Capital funds to withdraw from the investment. The main research method used in this study was comparative analysis of the divestments carried out in Polish stock market during years 2005-2011.

W pracy omówiono istotę funkcjonowania oraz rozwój rynku funduszy inwestycyjnych typu Venture Capital. Główny nacisk w analizie został położony na sposoby dezinwestycji dokonywane przez fundusze tej klasy, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem specyfiki polskiego rynku kapitałowego. Celem pracy było wykazanie, że publiczna emisja akcji jest najbardziej efektywnym z punktu widzenia funduszy Venture Capital sposobem wyjścia z inwestycji. Główną metodą badawczą zastosowaną w pracy była analiza porównawcza przeprowadzonych dezinwestycji na krajowym rynku akcji w latach 2005-2011.
