Na rynku produktów i usług finansowych można odnaleźć różnorodne oferty wspomagające rozwój przedsiębiorstw. Tradycyjne formy finansowania rozwoju działalności cieszą się dużym zainteresowaniem wśród wielu inwestorów, lecz dla niektórych z nich są one niedostępne. Dla firm znajdujących się we wczesnym stadium rozwoju, rozwiązaniem umożliwiającym uzyskanie wsparcia rozwoju ich działalności jest pozyskanie inwestora venture capital lub debiut na alternatywnej platformie obrotu, jaką jest rynek NewConnect. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów. Przedmiotem tej pracy jest identyfikacja oraz ocena alternatywnych źródeł finansowania przedsiębiorstw funkcjonujących na polskim rynku. W rozdziale pierwszym przedstawiono charakterystykę funduszu venture capital. Rozdział drugi zawiera informacje dotyczące rynku NewConnect. Ponadto zawrócono w nim uwagę na wady i zalety tej formy finansowania, gdyż funkcjonowanie na tym rynku niesie za sobą wiele pozytywnych, jak i negatywnych cech. Opis rozwoju rynku NewConnect i venture capital zostały omówione w rozdziale trzecim. Zaprezentowano w nim również regulacje dotyczące Venture Capital i NewConnect występujące na polskim rynku oraz pokazano wielkość obu rynków. Ostatnia część pracy została poświęcona na przedstawienie case study spółek, które do zdobycia niezbędnych środków finansowych skorzystały z nowoczesnych form finansowania swojej działalności. Dokonano tego w oparciu o spółkę Bankier.pl S.A. oraz Rodan Systems S.A. Praca została napisana w oparciu o literaturę książkową oraz źródła internetowe.

On the market of products and financial services, you can find various offers which assist enterprise’s development. Traditional forms of financing development of activities delight a big interest among many investors, but for some of them, they are not available. For companies located in the early stage of development, the acquisition of venture capital investor or debut on the alternate platform on the market, which is the market NewConnect, is solution for gaining support for the development of their activities. Presented Master’s thesis consists of four Chapters. The subject of this thesis is identifying and evaluating alternative sources of financing for companies operating on the Polish market. The Chapter I presents the characteristics of a venture capital fund. The Chapter II contains information concerning the market NewConnect. In addition, there was returned attention to the advantages and disadvantages of this financing form, because the functioning of this market brings a lot of positive and negative characteristics. Description of NewConnect development and venture capital are discussed in Chapter III. There are also presented regulations on Venture Capital and Private Placements occurring on the Polish market and there is showed the size of both markets. The last part of the thesis was devoted to the presentation of case studies of companies which benefited from modern forms of financing their activities to acquired the necessary funds. It was accomplished based on the company Bankier.pl SA and Rodan Systems SA. The thesis was written based on the books and Internet sources.
