Actions of polish-lithuanian military units within the territory of the Muscovite Tsardom in the period between 1604 and 1609

The thesis examines the actions of polish-lithuanian military units within the territory of the Muscovite Tsardom during the First Dymitriad and the Second Dymitriad. The author points out that the private units of polish-lithuanian infantry played an important role, both militarily and politically, in the armies of both Pretenders from the time they became active players on the historical stage. The paper stresses that the Polish military units, which in some cases consisted of small numbers of soldiers, represented the most valuable assets of the armies of both pretenders to the throne of Moscow, and that they were the deciding factor behind a number of victories over the army of Moscow in the period between 1604 and 1609.

W pracy przeanalizowano działania oddziałów polsko-litewskich na terenie Carstwa Moskiewskiego w czasach pierwszej drugiej Dymitriady. Autor zaznacza, że polskie prywatne roty od samego początku działalności obu Samozwańców odgrywały istotną role w ich wojsku, zarówno pod względem militarnym jak i politycznym. W pracy podkreśla się, że polskie wojska, choć nie zawsze liczne, były najbardziej cenną częścią armii obu pretendentów do tronu moskiewskiego i że głównie z ich pomocą w latach 1604-1609 udało się odnieść szereg zwycięstw nad armią moskiewską.
