Imiona nadawane w gminie Książ Wielki w latach 2000-2009. Analiza socjolingwistyczna.

Niniejsza praca analizuje imiona w ujęciu socjolingwistycznym. W celu ustalenia pochodzenia imion, ich motywacji i różnych form zdrobniałych autorka pracy przeprowadziła badania ankietowe. Odbyły się one na terenie gminy Książ Wielki w powiecie miechowskim (województwo małopolskie). Autorka postanowiła przyjrzeć się zjawisku mody na nadawanie imion dzieciom w dwóch grupach wiekowych: I – dzieci urodzone między 2000 a 2003 rokiem oraz II – dzieci urodzone między 2006 a 2009 rokiem. Zgromadzone informacje posłużyły do opisu zmian w zasobie imion najczęściej używanych. Autorka spojrzała szerzej – pokazała różnice i podobieństwa w częstotliwości nadawania imion dzieciom na terenie gminy oraz na terenie Polski. Pokazane zostały również: motywacja, jaką kierowali się rodzice przy wyborze imienia i udział poszczególnych członków rodziny w poszukiwaniach odpowiedniego imienia. Ostatnią część pracy stanowi analiza słowotwórcza form hipokorystycznych.

This thesis is a text regarding anthroponymy. It contains the status of studies on naming and a chapter concerning the derivation of names in Poland. The main piece however is a sociolinguistic analysis of research material which has been gathered through inquiries in Książ Wielki community (in the Miechów district). During the study, author prepared a questionnaire for parents with children in the age between 9-12 and 3-6 years old. This allowed to gather vast material regarding names given to children, the motivation of choice and diminutives of these names. Based on this a glossary of names has been created. Information regarding origin, primal meaning and exemplary of diminutive forms has been put next to each name. Then, the popularity of male and female names in Książ Wielki community between 2000 and 2009 has been determined and comparison with ranking of most popular names in Poland within this period has been performed. An important part of this thesis is a chapter about motivation, where the answers of older and younger childrens parents has been compared, which led to interesting conclusions. This chapter also contains information about family participation in the choice of name for the new member. The last part of this work concerns hipocorristic forms of childrens names and their formative analysis.
