Praca magisterska opisuje sylwetki dyrektorów Biblioteki Jagiellońskiej od czasów jej powstania do drugiej wojny światowej. Autorka przybliża zarys historyczny powstania i rozwoju Biblioteki oraz Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego w latach 1364-1940. W kolejnych rozdziałach został opisany zasób zbiorów bibliotecznych w okresie 1905 - 1939, który podzielony został w zależności od zawartości merytorycznej. Ponadto sylwetki osób zajmujących stanowisko kierownicze w Bibliotece Jagiellońskiej zostały przedstawione chronologicznie oraz podzielone na dwa okresy 1784 - 1939. Całość kończy podsumowanie.

This thesis presents the profiles of the directors of the Jagiellonian Library since its inception until World War II. The author outlines the historical origin and development of the Library and the Jagiellonian University in the years 1364-1940. In the following section the library resources in the period 1905 – 1939 are described, according to their substantive content. Furthermore, profiles of people working on managerial positions in the Jagiellonian Library are presented, chronologically and divided into two periods 1784 - 1939. The whole ends a summary.
