The Constitutional System of the Swiss Confederation

The subject of this thesis is the presentation of Swiss political system and its characteristics. The work consists of ten chapters. The first two chapters describe the evolution of the political system and the history of the present constitution.The third chapter contains a description of constitutional principles and the institution of direct democracy.The fourth chapter is dedicated to the electoral law. In the next three are presented authorities of the Federation: legislative, executive and judicial power.Chapter Eight describes the self-government in Switzerland.The last two chapters of this thesis are dedicated to the basic constitutional rights and states of emergency.

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest przedstawienie ustroju konstytucyjnego Konfederacji Szwajcarskiej i jego specyfiki. Praca składa się z dziesięciu rozdziałów. Pierwsze dwa poświęcone są ewolucji ustroju i genezie obecnej konstytucji. Rozdział trzeci zawiera opis zasad ustrojowych Konfederacji oraz instytucji demokracji bezpośredniej. Rozdział czwarty poświęcony jest prawu wyborczemu. W następnych trzech rozdziałach przedstawione zostały władze: ustawodawcza, wykonawcza i sądownicza. Rozdział ósmy poświęcony jest samorządowi w Szwajcarii. Pracę kończą rozdziały o podstawowych prawach konstytucyjnych i przepisach związanych ze stanami nadzwyczajnymi.
