Human rights in selected Latin American countries with particular emphasis on indigenous in the Andean region

The thesis analyses the situation of human rights in Latin America with particular emphasis on indigenous rigths in the Andean region. It describes the theoretical basis of the concept of human rights, their evolution as well as their importance in the current reality. It also shows the living conditions of indigenous peoples, which for centuries has been discriminated and marginalized. Presents problems of indigenous peoples struggling with poverty, lack of or limited access to education, health care, participation in political and social life of the country.

Praca analizuje sytuację praw człowieka w Ameryce Łacińskiej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem praw ludności rdzennej regionu andyjskiego. Opisuje teoretyczne podstawy koncepcji praw człowieka, ich ewolucję jak też znaczenie w obecnej rzeczywistości. Ukazuje również warunki życia ludności rdzennej, która od wieków jest dyskryminowana i marginalizowana. Przedstawia problemy ludności autochtonicznej zmagającej się z ubóstwem, brakiem lub ograniczonym dostępem do edukacji, ochrony zdrowia, uczestnictwa w życiu politycznym i społecznym kraju.
