The ways of financing the innovative businesses in Poland

Celem niniejszej pracy jest omówienie tradycyjnych i nowoczesnych metodfinansowania innowacyjnych przedsiębiorstw w Polsce. W badaniach podjętopróbę analizy dostępnego, alternatywnego sposobu finansowania przedsiębiorstwaw branży nowoczesnych technologii, posługując się przykładem firmy i3D S.A.z siedzibą w Gliwicach. Analiza przeprowadzona została na podstawie dokumentówfinansowych firmy oraz materiałów marketingowych. Otrzymane wyniki wskazały,że tradycyjne formy finansowania są wciąż najpopularniejsze, choć nie zawszedostępne. Firmy nowo powstające lub z krótką historią działalności,charakteryzujących się znacznym ryzykiem inwestycyjnym korzystają z kapitałuwysokiego ryzyka typu venture capital/private equity. Dzięki nim, niektóre branżeuzyskały dużą dynamikę wzrostu i wysoki poziom innowacyjności, jak to miałomiejsce w przypadku firmy i3D S.A.

The aim of this work is a discussion of the traditional and modern methodsof financing the innovative businesses in Poland. The research undertakes the testof analyzing the available and alternative way of financing the business connectedwith the modern technology, based on the i3D S.A. company situated in Gliwice.The analysis was carried out on the basis of financial documents and marketingmaterials of the firm. The results presented that the traditional forms of financingare still the most popular, despite the fact they are not always available. The newfirms or the firms with a short history of business, characterized by a considerable investment risk, use the capital of a high risk like: venture capital/private equity. Thanks to them some lines of business obtained a high growth dynamics and a high level of innovativeness as in the i3D S.A. firm.
