Przedmiotem badań danej rozprawy jest reportaż Mariusza Szczygła “Ani kroku bez Baty”, który ukazał się w książce „Gottland” tegoż autora. Reportaż opowiada historię fundacji, rozkwitu i powojennych losów najsłynniejszej czeskiej firmy obuwniczej „Bata”. Siedzibą koncernu było miasto Zlin na wschodnich Morawach, które w okresie międzywojennym doznało spektakularnej modernizacji urbanistycznej.Reportaż „Ani kroku bez Baty” został omówiony pod kątem zagadnień teoretycznych tego gatunku literacko-dziennikarskiego. The subject of this dissertation is a reportage ‘Ani kroku bez Baty’ written by Mariusz Szczygieł, published in his book ‘Gottland’. The reportage describes a history of foundation, flourishing and post-war fate of the most famous Czech shoes company ‘Bata’. The headquarters of the company was Zlin, a town located in eastern Moravia, which experienced a spectacular urban modernization during the interwar period.Reportage ‘Ani kroku bez Baty’ is discussed upon theoretical issues of its genre. The dissertation examines literary reportage and questions truth and fiction relation. Moreover it analyses selected buildings that were erected by the company, thus mentioned in the reportage in order to extend its scope.
