The dispute over the biography of Ryszard Kapuscinski in the context of Artur Domosławskis publication "Kapuscinski. Non-fiction."

This linguistic thesis consists of three chapters. It concentrates on the issue of the changes that took place in the field of Polish biographies after the publication of a book about the life of Ryszard Kapuściński – one of the greatest Polish journalist. The author of this biography is Arthur Domosławski. The Aim of this study is to present the main points of the debate. I would also like to show the role of this biography in contemporary literature (both Polish and foreign).The first chapter refers to the life of Ryszard Kapuscinski. The second chapter deals with the definition of biography – what it really is. In this chapter there is also a comparison between Polish and Western way of writing a biography. The third chapter presents the main issues in dispute, which arose after the publication of the biography by Arthur Domosławski "Kapuscinski. Non - Fiction".

Praca o charakterze naukowym składająca się z trzech rozdziałów. Porusza ona kwestię zmiany, jaka dokonała się w polskiej biografistyce po opublikowaniu książki poświęconej życiu wybitnego polskiego dziennikarza, Ryszarda Kapuścińskiego. Autorem przełomowej biografii jest Artur Domosławski. Celem pracy jest zaprezentowanie głównych wątków debaty oraz próba przedstawienia roli biografii we współczesnej literaturze (polskiej i światowej).Rozdział pierwszy poświęcony został życiu Ryszarda Kapuścińskiego. Drugi rozdział dotyczy definicji gatunku jakim jest biografia. Dokonano też porównania pomiędzy biografistyką polską, a zachodnią. W trzecim rozdziale przedstawione zostały główne kwestie sporne, jakie pojawiły się po opublikowaniu biografii autorstwa Artura Domosławskiego „Kapuściński. Non – Fiction.”
