Historical memory in polish rock music after the year 1989.

Praca ma na celu zbadać rodzaje, funkcje i cele wykorzystywania tematyki historycznej w polskiej muzyce rockowej na przykładzie wybranych albumów muzycznych. Są one traktowane jako teksty kultury pamięci historycznej, media pamięci. W ramach pracy znajduje się krótki wstęp metodologiczny, omówienie zależności intertekstualnych pomiędzy różnymi warstwami przekazu obecnymi w źródłach, oraz trzystopniowa analiza obrazu przeszłości w nich występującego: Jego konstrukcji czasowej, obrazie prezentowanej przestrzeni oraz wartości poprzez nią przedstawianych. Dominujące w źródłach tematy to Powstanie Warszawskie oraz wczesnośredniowieczna słowiańszczyzna. W zakończeniu zostaje przeprowadzona analiza tematyki przekazu i jej funkcji w stosunku do polskiej świadomości historycznej.

The study's purpose is to analyse kinds, functions and purposes of utilising historical themes in polish rock music, basing on the example of selected musical albums. They are here considered as cultural texts of historical memory, media of memory. The study consists of a short methodological introduction, analysis of intertextual relationships between various layers of context present within the analysed albums, and three-level analysis of the representation of past within them; It's chronological construction, the presentation of historical space and of values reflexed by it. The dominating themes are the Warsaw Uprising and early-medieval slavdom. The ending consists of an analysis of the themes present in the albums and it's functions in the context of polish historical memory.
