Postawy młodzieży wobec osób starszych

Introduction: Aging society constitutes an important task according to the way of treatment of the oldest generation and respect to its dignity. Because of that it is important to get to know behaviour, knowledge and emotions of youth towards old people and senescene. Aim of the study: Aim of the study is to show attitudes toward old people among youths. Material and methods: Surveys taken among 95 students at the age between 13-20. Questionnaried group consisted of students form junior high schools and secondary schools, cities and villages. Questions given to repondents contained different aspects of demenaours and relationships between survied students and older people. Additional factor taken under advisement in the survey was the level of understanding of empathy in relationship with other people. Results: Results point out youths positive attitude towards old people. Survey shows equal importance of different aspects of behavior in relationship with them. Most of questionnaried students declare friendly demeanour . There is an connection between the level of empathy and attitude. Conslusions: It is necessary to create educational programs about friedly relationship between generations. One of the most important factors in this area is to start this programs from very early education level so it can help create true image of senescene among young people.

Wstęp: Starzejące się społeczeństwo stanowi ważne zadanie w aspekcie sposobu trakatowania najstarszej genracji i poszanowania jej godności. Stąd istotnym wydaje się poznanie zachowań, wiedzy i emocji młodzieży wobec osób starszych i starości. Cel pracy: Celem pracy jest poznanie postaw młodzieży wobec osób starszych. Meteriał i metoda: Badania ankietowe przeprowadzone wśród 95 uczniów w wieku od 13-20 lat. Grupę badaną stanowili uczniowie gimnazjum i liceum, mieszkający w mieście oraz na wsi. Pytania zadane respondentom dotyczyły poszczególnych komponentów postaw, a także relacji badanych z osobami starszymi. Dadatkowym czynnikiem poddanym analizie był poziom rozumienia empatycznego innych ludzi.Wyniki: Wyniki wskazują na ogólnie pozytywne postawy młodzieży wobec osób starszych. Biorąc pod uwagę poszczególne komponenty postaw uwidacznia się równomierne ich znaczenie w przypadku postaw wobec osób starszych. Większość badanych deklaruje przyjazny charakter relacji z osobami starszymi oraz własnymi dziadkami. Wykazano zalezność pomiędzy poziomem empatii badanych, a ich postawami wobec osób starszych. Wnioski: Konieczne jest podejmowanie działań wychowawczych zorientowanych na kształtowanie przyjaznych relacji międzypokoleniowych. Jednym z ważnych obszarów w tym zakresie jest wdrażanie od najmłodszych lat edukacji do starości, decydującej o rzetelnym sposobie postrzegania tego okresu życia, zgodnie z jego specyfiką.
