Sens życia a jakość życia pacjentów po zabiegu endoprotezoplastyki

SummaryTitle: The meaning and the quality of patients’ life in after surgery of hip joint replacement. Osteoarthritis of the hip joints is a major clinical problem and it affects a social development all over the world . In consequence of the chronic destructive process in the joints of patients experiencing certain symptoms in the musculoskeletal system, the efficiency of their life is decreasing and difficulties in everyday life are considerably rising. As a result, the quality of their life is getting lower. The main purpose of the study is a retrospective attempt to assess the quality of patients’ life after hip joint replacement. To this end 70 patients were tested after a total hip replacement. All of them underwent treatment in Trauma and Orthopaedic Clinic in Olkusz. The study was carried out with my own questionnaire, E. Diner's Life Satisfaction Scale – SWLS, Scale of Positive Changes During Disease and abridged version of PIL-6 scale. The results of the study indicated that after hip joint replacement surgery patients noticed a significant improvement in the quality of their life, including considerable reduction of pain. Moreover , a strong correlation between sense of life and quality of life was noticed . Surprisingly , patients perceived the disease as a factor which caused more positive approach to their life.

STRESZCZENIETytuł: Sens życia a jakość życia u osób po zabiegu endoprotezoplastki stawu biodrowego Choroba zwyrodnieniowa stawów biodrowych na całym świecie stanowi poważny problem kliniczny i społeczny. Na skutek przewlekłego procesu destrukcyjnego w stawach, pacjent odczuwa dolegliwości ze strony narządu ruchu, ma obniżoną sprawność i trudności w funkcjonowaniu w życiu codziennym, a w rezultacie – jakość jego życia jest niższa. Celem pracy stała się retrospektywna próba oceny jakości życia osób po wymianie stawu biodrowego. Przebadano 70 pacjentów po operacji aloplastyki stawu biodrowego leczonych w Poradni Urazowo- Ortopedycznej w Olkuszu. Badania zostały przeprowadzone za pomocą ankiety własnej konstrukcji, Skali Satysfakcji z Życia - SWLS E. Dinera i współpracowników, Skali Pozytywnych Zmian w Chorobie oraz Skali PIL-6 w wersji skróconej. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, iż pacjenci po operacji wymiany stawu biodrowego zauważają wyraźną poprawę jakości życia, w tym zmniejszenie dolegliwości bólowych. Co więcej wykazano silny związek poczucia sensu życia z jakością życia oraz z dostrzeganiem wpływu doświadczeń wywołanych chorobą na bardziej pozytywne podejście do życia.
