Wiedza kobiet na temat czynników ryzyka oraz objawów raka endometrium

Today we tested the knowledge women have on the topic of risks and symptoms of endometrial cancer. Analysis of the results shows that women knowledge on the topic is insufficient. Most subjects questioned were in the age of 28-40 years old and this surely had an effect on the results. Despite the fact that most patients had a higher education and/or lived in a larger city, they still did not appear to know enough about the subject. Patients were generally sure what endometrial cancer was however not all were able to identify risks and methods of diagnosing the disease. Women appear have inadequate knowledge on this topic and thus education regarding cancers of the female reproductive system is very important.

W niniejszej pracy podjęto próbę zbadania wiedzy kobiet na temat czynników ryzyka oraz objawów raka endometrium. Po przeanalizowaniu wyników, można stwierdzić, że wiedza kobiet na ten temat jest niedostateczna. Większa część ankietowanych była w wieku 28 – 40 lat, dlatego ten fakt mógł mieć istotny wpływ na wyniki badań. Chociaż większość respondentek posiadła wyższe wykształcenie oraz mieszkała w dużym mieście, nie przekładało się to na posiadaną wiedzę. Kobiety na ogół były pewne, co to jest rak endometrium, ale nie wszystkie potrafiły podać czynniki ryzyka choroby oraz metody diagnostyczne.Polki posiadają niewystarczającą wiedzę na powyższy temat. Dlatego tak ważna jest edukacja z zakresu chorób nowotworowych narządu rodnego u kobiet.
