Serbian Literary Narration of History. Narrative Strategies in Selected Novels by Vidosav Stevanović, Goran Petrović and Igor Marojević

W niniejszej pracy magisterskiej zaprezentowane zostały trzy istotne dla nurtu serbskiej prozy nowohistorycznej powieści – "Testament" (1986) Vidosava Stevanovicia, "Opsada crkve Svetog Spasa" (1997) autorstwa Gorana Petrovicia oraz "Žega" (2004, 2008) – utwór Igora Marojevicia. Zasadnicza część pracy polegała na, często utrudnionym, zidentyfikowaniu przywołanych w nich wydarzeń, okresów oraz postaci historycznych, jak również podjęciu próby nazwania zastosowanych przez ich autorów konkretnych strategii narracyjnych. Szczegółową interpretację wybranych powieści oraz wyłożenie przedstawionej w nich literackiej wizji historii poprzedziło rozstrzygnięcie problemu związanego z nieuporządkowaniem niektórych kluczowych dla pracy kwestii terminologicznych na gruncie serbskich badań teoretycznoliterackich.

This paper under the title „Serbian Literary Narration of History” presents three novels fundamental for the movement of Serbian new-historical prose: "Testament" (1986) by Vidosav Stevanović, "Opsada crkve Svetog Spasa" (1997) by Goran Petrović and "Žega" (2004, 2008) by Igor Marojević. The main part of the work done consisted in often difficult identification of events hailed in the novels as well as attempts to name the authors’ particular narrative strategies. The detailed interpretation of selected novels and the analysis of the literary vision of history that they describe were preceded by the conclusion of the dilemma related to the disarray of some critical terminological issues concerning Serbian theoretical-literary studies.
