Creating the non-institutional theatre – founder’s motivation and theatral evironment of Krakow. Krakow KraKoTeka’s case.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest opisanie procesu tworzenia teatru nieinstytucjonalnego na przykładzie KraKoTeki. Analizie poddane są trzy aspekty: wewnętrzna i zewnętrzna motywacja twórcy teatru, otoczenie teatralne oraz kompatybilność planów teatru z potrzebami jego widzów. W celu sprawdzenia ostatniej przeprowadzono badanie publiczności metodą ilościową. Ich analiza daje spójny obraz nowopowstającego teatru.

The purpose of dissertation is to describe the process of forming the theatre with the use of an example of KraKoTeka. The analysis’ subject is to three aspects: founder’s motivation - both internal and external, theatrical environment and compatibility between artist’s vision and audience needs. In order to investigate the last one, the audience survey was carried out by a quantitative method. The analysis provides a coherent view of the new theatre.
