Wizerunek statystycznego Rosjanina w oczach Polaka

A purpose of the work is showing, what image of the average Russian is seeing by statistical Pole. Theoretical base of the work are deliberations about stereotypes, of category of the "stranger", determining what the nation is and what national stereotypes are. A profile of the statistical Pole and a level of the openness of Poles as the nation, were also definite. In order to check, how the image of the Russian looks like, was conducted a questionnaire survey. Questionnaire forms were handed out amongst two groups: within a group of students and employees of the Institute of Russia and Eastern Europe and among persons not having anything to do with Russia and her citizens. Outcomes shows, that students and employees of the Institute of Russia and Eastern Europe have a more specific image of Russians and they are using stereotypes in the much shorter rank than the second examined group. It results from extensive knowledge of the culture and history of Russia, and from more frequent contacts with residents of the Russian Federation.

Celem pracy jest pokazanie, jaki jest wizerunek przeciętnego Rosjanina w oczach statystycznego Polaka. Podstawą teoretyczną pracy są rozważania na temat stereotypów, kategorii „obcego”, określenie czym jest naród i stereotypy narodowe. Określony został również profil statystycznego Polaka oraz stopień otwartości Polaków jako nacji. Aby sprawdzić, jak wygląda wizerunek Rosjanina, przeprowadzone zostało badanie ankietowe. Ankiety zostały rozdane wśród dwóch grup: studentów oraz pracowników Instytutu Rosji i Europy Wschodniej oraz osób nie mających nic wspólnego z Rosją i jej obywatelami. Wyniki badań wskazują, że rosjoznawcy mają bardziej konkretny obraz Rosjan oraz posługują się stereotypami w znacznie mniejszym stopniu niż druga grupa badanych. Wynika to z lepszej znajomości kultury i historii Rosji, oraz z częstszych kontaktów z mieszkańcami Federacji Rosyjskiej.
