The Influence of Socioeconomic Reforms Introduced Between 1989 and 1994 on the Development of Poland

Praca przedstawia wpływ reform gospodarczych, które zostały przeprowadzone w latach 1989-1994. Struktura gospodarcza Polski w obecnym stanie jest wynikiem przeprowadzonych zmian w okresie transformacji ustrojowej. Wszystkie stosunki gospodarcze jakie istnieją obecnie swój początek biorą od momentu reformy dokonanej w wybranym okresie. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie zmian gospodarczych, które dokonały się 20 lat temu i znalezienie ich wpływu na rozwój i stan gospodarki dziś. Realizacja celu pracy wymaga potwierdzenia przyjętej hipotezy badawczej, że reforma społeczno-gospodarcza w latach 1989-1994 w sposób istotny wpłynęła na rozwój i stan gospodarki Polski. W pracy zastosowano metody badań ilościowych, analizy danych liczbowych i danych z dokumentów. Największe znaczenie w badanej pracy mają wartości statystyczne, które przedstawiają rzeczywiste wielkości badanych wskaźników makroekonomicznych. Praca składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza dotyczy okresu przed rokiem 1994 gdzie zawarte są działania i reformy transformujące Polską gospodarkę. Druga część przedstawia efekty i skutki prowadzonych zmian. Zawarte są także dane statystyczne ukazujące stan gospodarki i wielkości makroekonomiczne powstałe w wyniku przekształcania gospodarki. W pracy poruszane są kwestie prywatyzacji, komercjalizacji, stabilizowania inflacji i polityki pieniężnej, reformy systemu podatkowego w szczególności podatku dochodowego od osób fizycznych, denominacji ,,złotego”. Ostatni rozdział przedstawia analizę skutków i efektów przeprowadzonych zmian. Transformacja ustrojowa od 1989 roku sprawiła, że system gospodarczy Polski zmienił się z socjalistycznego na rynkowy. Stał się konkurencyjny oraz otwarty na inwestycje, towary, zasoby ludzkie, które budują i ulepszają gałęzie produkcyjno-usługowe.

This research thesis is going to present the influence of the economic reforms, which were introduced in 1989 – 1994 on Poland. The present economic situation is the effect of the structural changes. All the business ties that exist nowadays have their beginning in time of these reforms. The aim of this thesis is to show all these changes that took place twenty years ago and to present their influence on the development and image of the present Polish economy. Realization of this aim requires a certification of the research hypothesis which says that the economic reform introduced between 1989 and 1994 strongly influenced on the progress and state of Polish economy. In this thesis, the methods of quantitative research and analyses of data expressed in figures and documents were used. The most important here are statistical data, which delineate the real amount of macroeconomic ratings. The thesis has two parts. The first part describes the period before 1994, when the changes were effectuated. The second one contains the effects and results of these changes. There are also described statistical data presenting condition of Polish economy and macroeconomic ratings which resulted from economic reforms. The thesis touches also the issues of privatization, commercialization, curbing of inflation, stabilization of monetary policy, of the reforms of tax system, especially of personal income tax and denomination of zloty. The last chapter comprises with the analysis of the effects of these changes. Presented structural changes lead to introduction of the free-enterprise economic system in Poland, in place of the socialistic one. The system became competing, and receptive to investments, human resources, and goods, which improve service and generative activities.
