Biography and output of bards as the material of storyline based on the novel Dumanowski written by Wit Szostak.

Celem pracy jest odpowiedź na pytanie, jak życie i twórczość wieszczów staje się materiałem fabuły literackiej. Analizie poddany zostaje sposób kreacji bohaterów powieści (Juliusza Słowackiego, Adama Mickiewicza i Józafata Dumanowskiego). Wskazując wspólne, potwierdzone fakty z życia i twórczości Juliusza Słowackiego oraz Adama Mickiewicza wykorzystane przez Wita Szostaka podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, o cel takiego zabiegu. Szczegółowo przyjrzano się procesowi demityzacji wieszczów narodowych w powieści alternatywnej.

The aim of the present thesis is to answer the question ‘How life and literary output become the material of storyline’. The analysis includes the way in which the characters of novels , written by Juliusz Słowacki, Adam Mickiewicz and Józafat Dumanowski, are created. The common and verified facts of lifes and outputs of Juliusz Słowacki and Adam Mickiewicz were used by Wit Szostak. For that reason, the attempt was made to answer the question about the aim of this procedure. The process of demythologization of national bards in the alternative novel was discussed in detail.
