Studies of simultaneous measurements using J-PET scanner and CT scanner.

Celem pracy było określenie możliwości połączenia prototypowego paskowego pozytonowego tomografu emisyjnego z tomografem komputerowym. Połączenie takie ma wiele zalet z punktu widzenia diagnostyki medycznej. W pracy zademonstrowane zostały wyniki uzyskane w wyniku przeprowadzenia symulacji napisanej w środowisku Geant4. Wniosek ze wstępnych wyników jest następujący: połączenie tych dwóch typów tomografów będzie możliwe.

The aim of this study was to determine the possibility of merging the J-PET scanner with CT scan. The connection has many advantages in terms of medical diagnosis. Presented results were obtained from the simulation written in Geant4 enviroment. The outcome of the preliminary results is as follows: the combination of these two types of scanners will be possible.
