Koncepcja euroregionów na podstawie Euroregionu Silesia

In recent 20 years as first euroregions began to form they linked neighbouring regions and became to be the driving force in the cross-border cooperation development. It has also applied in the historic region of Silesia being the mutual heritage of Poland and Czech Republic. The cross-border cooperation idea became new beginning of common contribution of those two regions. Participation in mutual agreement brought deals with many interests that may be shared: infrastructure, environmental problems, education, culture and others. According to the basic euroregions concept Euroregion Silesia takes aim to achieve the development in all of its interests by for example providing European’s Union resources. Many different projects were supported by taking advantage of Europeans funds. After all the most important issue that determinates cross-border cooperation is the effort that Silesia residents take to be in good living conditions and friendly relations full of understanding to remove the obstacle called the state border.

Zagadnienie współpracy transgrancznej z powodu procesu jej decentralizacji oraz nieustannego rozwoju jest tematem żywej dyskusji dla badaczy tego tematu.
