The paper is the prosopographical study. Its aim is to reconstruct the intellectual elite of the times it focuses on, through the prism of biographies of the canons and the provosts who served in The Saint Florian’s Collegiate Church in Kleparz, Krakow.The goal of the author is to show the history of Kleparz and to reconstruct the lives and the careers of the canons and provosts from The Saint Florian’s Collegiate Church between the erection of the church and 1401. The author decided to choose that particular time - framework because of its special significance in the history of The Saint Florian Collegiate Church.The first part of the study consists of four chapters. The first chapter concentrates on the history of Kleparz. The second one describes an organization of the chapter. The third one focuses on the factors which could have enabled particular men to become the members of the chapter. The last one refers to the origins of the Cracov’s University. In the second part the author presents biographies of the canons and the provosts who served in The Saint Florian’s Collegiate Church. All of them are constructed according to the same standardized scheme which consists of the following elements: the place of birth (or in case of lacking the sturdy data, the more general environment of origin), the date of birth and death, the social status, the formal education, the path secular career, the position hold in the ecclesiastical structure. At the end of the paper is the list of the abbreviations and the bibliography. The study was based on the printed historical sources..

Praca ta jest studium prozopograficznym. Może ona pomóc w odtworzeniu elity intelektualnej swoich czasów poprzez zamieszczone w niej biogramy duchownych służących w kapitule św. Floriana na Kleparzu.Celem autorki było przybliżenie historii Kleparza oraz przedstawienie sylwetek prałatów i kanoników kapituły św. Floriana w Krakowie w okresie od jej założenia do 1401 roku. Ramy czasowe wybrano z uwagi na doniosłość obu tych wydarzeń.Pierwsza część składa się z czterech rozdziałów. Pierwszy traktuje o historii Kleparza. Drugi mówi o organizacji kapituły. Trzeci dotyczy czynników mających wpływ na obsadę prebend. Czwarty przybliża początki Uniwersytetu Krakowskiego. Druga część pracy to biogramy kanoników i prałatów posługujących w kościele św. Floriana. Sporządzono je w oparciu o ustandaryzowany schemat zawierający następujące dane: miejsce urodzenia bądź wywodzenia się i/lub daty narodzenia i zgonu, stan, posiadane wykształcenie, droga kariery świeckiej, piastowane godności duchowne. Na końcu pracy umieszczono wykaz skrótów oraz bibliografię. Studium to zostało napisane w oparciu o źródła drukowane.
