Bohemia is a way of life, closely related to the individual characteristics of different people who created the artistic community. The study focused on the discussion of the concept of bohemians referring to several definitions. As a result I obtained an overall picture of the subject, which also includes a variety of issues . Referring directly to the image of the Young Poland bohemian, I made an attempt to confront the phenomenon of Young Poland bohemian and contemporary image of the artistic community, looking for similarities and differences, both in terms of ideological and way of life . I created the hypothesis that today still exists bohemia.My search are consistent with both the current science on contemporary art, sociology of art, as well as the status of the artist. Combining the concept of Young Poland bohemians and young bohemians Poland today, on the one hand I wanted to describe two different ways of understanding this phenomenon, mainly because to the time their existence. I also wanted to describe the similarities. For example the time and place where they are meeting, characteristic rebellion against accepted standards, independence and spontaneity. Writing about contemporary bohemia, also referred to the birth of the creative class , in my opinion, it was necessary to understand some interdependencies , and above all the differences between then and now bohemia. Bohemian concept has evolved constantly with the transformation of life. For this reason I refer to certain stages, which in my opinion had a decisive influence on the development of the phenomenon. In addition, I did not want to create an exhaustive description of the bohemian, from the era, the description takes into account step by step all the circumstances, I meant to isolate moments and structures, with emphasis on innovative movements that have influenced the contemporary image of the artistic community.The aim of this study was to show that today there is still a bohemian. Comparison between last bohemian and bohemian today, has allowed me to draw some conclusions, which show that, despite the changes that have occurred and are still occurring, bohemians still an important part of art, now building a collective identity, not just among artists.
Bohema to sposób życia, ściśle związany z indywidualnym charakterem poszczególnych osób tworzących dane środowisko artystyczne. W pracy skupiłam się na omówieniu pojęcia bohema odwołując się do kilku definicji. Dzięki temu uzyskałam całościowy obraz tematu, który jednocześnie obejmuje różnorodne kwestie. Odnosząc się bezpośrednio do wizerunku młodopolskiej bohemy, podjęłam próbę skonfrontowania zjawiska cyganerii młodopolskiej ze współczesnym wizerunkiem środowiska artystycznego, szukając podobieństw i różnic, tak w zakresie ideowym, jak i modelu życia. Przyjęłam hipotezę, że istnieje dzisiaj bohema. Moje poszukiwania wpisują się zarówno w nurt nauk o sztuce współczesnej, socjologii sztuki, jak i statusu artysty. Zestawiając pojęcia młodopolska bohema, a młoda polska bohema, chciałam z jednej strony opisać dwa, czasowo od siebie różne zjawiska, zwracając uwagę na znaczące podobieństwo w kwestiach takich jak na przykład, czas i miejsce spotkań, czy wyraźny światopogląd, charakteryzujący się głównie buntem, czy pewną niezależnością i spontanicznością. Pisząc o współczesnej bohemie, nawiązałam również do narodzin klasy kreatywnej, moim zdaniem było to niezbędne w zrozumieniu pewnych zależności, a przede wszystkim różnic między bohemą dawniej i dziś. Pojęcie bohemy ewoluowało nieustannie wraz z przekształceniem się życia. W pracy odwołuję się do pewnych etapów, które moim zdaniem miały kluczowy wpływ na rozwój tego zjawiska. Ponadto nie chciałam stworzyć wyczerpującego opisu bohemy, począwszy od danej epoki, opisu uwzględniającego krok po kroku wszystkie uwarunkowania, chodziło mi o wyodrębnienie momentów i struktur, z naciskiem na ruchy nowatorskie, które wpłynęły na współczesny wizerunek środowiska artystycznego. Celem pracy było ukazanie, że istnieje dzisiaj bohema. Porównanie bohemy kiedyś i dzisiaj, pozwoliło mi na wyciągnięcie pewnych wniosków, z których wynika, że pomimo zmian, które zaszły i ciągle zachodzą, bohema nadal stanowi ważny element sztuki, dzisiaj budujący tożsamość zbiorową, już nie tylko artystów.
